[url="http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=1138"]Vault Assault creator Brian Prescott has announced that he is going to have two new versions of Vault Assault available for purchase at April's PhillyClassic3. The first is Vault Assault Tournament Edition, which Brian has tweaked with some graphical improvements, as well as making the game more difficult. A tournament will be held at the show, with the winner taking home one of the limited Vault Assault TE carts. Brian will also be offering Vault Assault carts with a customized splash screen. If you send Brian $30 and a 48x50 monochrome bitmap image by April 15th, he'll create a version of Vault Assault encoded with your graphic that you can then pick up at the show. I remember Space Zap as a kid, too (playing it in the movie theater lobby after seeing "Star Wars" for the first time). To the author: Thank you for making this -- I LOVE it, and it's the perfect game to bring to the 2600. Will you be releasing a binary with sound and the improved graphics? I would love to play this with sound.

Hi there!

I think it'd be cool if VA would become a real "Space Zap 2600" at some point. There's actually not too much missing, but one could definately port the arcade a little more faithful.

And what I'm really missing is "Cracy Valet 3.02 Deluxe Tournament Edition" with 5 brandnew special Phillyclassic levels...

Greetings,
Manuel

That tournament will be mine! So long as I can get into my Vault Assault groove, I've played the original for over 2 hours before on my cuttle cart. Harder as this one may be, I'm pretty good ;p
