Does anyone have the definative list of rare/v rare PAL (UK/EU/Euro) A8 software and/or hardware (by hardware i mean both computers/accessories and upgrades)

Either local market versions or euro wide versions

PAL Ataris should run any software. The only issue is speed (raw speed isn't a problem, just 50 vs 60 VBlanks/second).

If anything, NTSC have the compatibilty problem because there are less cycles and scanlines per frame.

PAL systems do have some colour issues. Color 1 & 15 are the same, and color 4 is more purple than red.

I believe that some protection will break on PAL systems.

Some protections are so picky that won't run on anything that's not exactly what the developer tested. For example, some Datamost titles run on 64k machines, but not on 130XE ones (or XL with memory expansions).

As far as software goes, Atarimania has the most comprehensive rarity ratings. Although not perfect, they are better than anything else available for cassette/disk software, and pretty good for carts too.

I don't know of any hardware rarity sites for A8 stuff, though.

Sorry, but I just have to ask; what the hell does this post have to do with the topic AT ALL?!? He's asking about a rarity guide, not a compatibility guide!
