I just finished up modding my Genesis 3 for svideo and it is *stunning* compared to the composite output. Very simple mod, though soldering to SMT always makes me a bit wary.

Anyone know if Y/C signals can be picked off any of the other Genesis models? I'd like to get svideo out of my CDX if possible as well. 32x svideo might be nice to, though i'm guessing it's not possible with the pass through thing.

AV pinouts. You can get an s-video cable that hooks to the plug.... or you could mod it to use more standard connectors... but it's there.

Saw that site. Has some good info - but there doesn't appear to be any Y/C signals for svideo being output from the Genesis A/V jacks.

There seems to be RGB (which I don't need). I've also never seen (or heard of) premade svideo cables for the Genesis.

For S-video on the Genesis (1,2 & CDX), you have to put in a circuit off of the RGB amplifier. Most of the Gen 2's cannot be modded for S-video.

For the Gen 1, there is this mod:

The Gen 1 and SMS use the same chip as the NeoGeo.

Actaully, the Genesis uses standard DIN/ini-DIN plugs.
The miniDIN-9 is a *3 expletives of your choice* to find, but it IS a standard connector...
