That's pretty funny, especially the picture of the 1200XL in front of the Atari ST box! I can only assume that this seller managed to get their hands on a boxed 1200XL, but the box was the one pictured in the photo!

I actually won this auction but the ID10T's never emailed me back. I am going to file a complaint with ebay... I won it for $1

I went and looked through the seller's feedback... I think you might be lucky to not have paid for shipping. Lots of complaints about winning broken junk.
Though, I do wonder about the people that bid $20 on an "untested" hard drive. I thought everyone knew that "untested" meant "this is broken"

What's that great big hole on the left side of the machine? The cartridge port? Also, I like the way the joystick ports are angled like that.

No power supply or cables, wrong box... and untested. Plus a $28 shipping charge. Based on all that I'd pass on it without hesitation.

I bought ab ATARI 800 on EBAY and I got burned so be careful when you buy anything on EBAY.

The 800 was packaged poorly resulting in severe damage to the 800 which made it unusable, there was a large hole on the back left side big enough for my hand to go into and a crack from that hole around the left dide and ending past the space bar and the keyboard sunk inside the computer  but I saved what I coud from it before I threw it away.

The unit looked like it was NEVER cleaned and it had a dark brown tint to it from lack of cleaning.

Yes, the angled ports are fantastic and that "hole" is the cartridge port, the cartridges go in so far that they are hidden, but the "hole" is made large enough for easy access. These are two of the reasons why I love :lust: my 1200xl over the other xl's with the port on top; while the top mounted port is "easy access" I always hated having a cartridge sticking out of the top of my 800xl making it look like a console, to me it's just wrong for a computer (though I know many will disagree). I also hated the difficult access of the xe's with the port on the back; they should have put it on the side like the 1200xl and ST's.
