I was terrible at this one in the arcade...and when pp2 came out...I would always go with the oval...got pretty good at that one. No oval on this version

Well, in the waning hours, I manage to get another high score. (And mind you, I actually wrote an FAQ for this version of Pole Position. Check it out at GameFAQs.)

One last tip: When taking the hairpin curve (the fourth turn) you can just quickly shift into low gear for a second just long enough to slow down a little, then shift back to high gear and you'll be able to negate the curve without losing too much time.
