I won this Frogger off ePay a while back. It's 100% NTSC (Colors are perfect, does not roll). I have a second TV that rolls with PAL games. You can read more about this Frogger here or here. It's not for sale. I wanted to post information for other collectors. Al you're free to use any of these scans in the database, and please contact me if you need better scans. Philflound pics and info are listed below. PM if you need more.

The cart:

It's exactly like a Track and Field cart with a sliding door (2 springs).

The manual is unlike any I've searched for. I looked everywhere as this is the only Frogger Manual I own, but couldn't find any with this blue ink. It's 6" 7/8 by 5" 3/4.

No doubt CPUWIZ is probably one of the few to have a complete Parker Bros collection if you include this cart. It is extremely rare.

From the looks of the other thread, I truly believe Parker Bros ran outta cart cases and bought this one to resell it.
Sony's bumpy cases shipped late, so they, too were in this situation with PS1. That's why they have those tall clear cases like Sega's--Sony purchased these from Sega and sold games in them.

I only wish I'd seen as many of these Frogger as I have Saturn turned Sony cases.

Nice find.

Well after a nice little eBay win my Frogger cart now has a twin.

This one is 100% NTSC as well, and the third one confirmed that I know of. Strangely there is nothing noted for this cart (NTSC) in any rarity guide. :ponder:

This one came with ordinary Frogger instructions. I think Cpuwiz also said that his came with an ordinary box and instructions as well. I now believe the blue ink instructions are an oddity in itself.

Only in Canada.

It was in the Parker Brothers section of Atarimania all the time as a German version of Frogger.
Although I heared it was NTSC, I was misleaded by the german language on the cartridge label.

I placed it as a label variation under the Canadian Frogger now:

Very nice Rom! I can see why there was confusion over the label. It's exactly the same for PAL and NTSC. I'd love to learn the story of why these carts came to be in Canada. Someone out there certainly knows. One interesting note too is both of my carts came from the same city, Edmonton. Cpuwiz just remembers his came from Canada in general IIRC, but now I'm just putting words in his mouth.

Anyway it's a very cool cart, and I'm glad I have them in my collection.

That is correct, not sure what city though.
