DonutCity
Ok, I'm trying to find any application that will allow me to view .BAS code...I found some great sites that have various programs you can download (.BAS files) but have thus far been unable to view the code - what gives? Gury
Hi! For reading Atari BAS files you can use ATRUtil. The link is http://atari.webpark.sk/down/AtrUtil.rar
Gury
The link above doesn't work. Try this file.

USAGE: detokenize.pl [-a(tascii)] [-d(ebug)] [-f(ile) <BAS FILENAME>] -a : Print output in ATASCII -d : Print some debug information Example: detokenize.pl -debug -atascii -file MYPRG.BAS detokenize_pl.zip

DonutCity
Thanks...Gury, I downloaded the atrutil file and it loaded correctly but unless I'm missing something I can't find an option for opening a .BAS file? Tell me what I'm missing...Thanks again...
Gury
No problem. Ok, it is utility for making ATR, XFD and DCM files. When file is created, click Insert BIN to put BAS file into the image and save the image. When you then select such a file, click View button. That's all. Report if you succeded these steps, please. krupkaj
BTW what is on the output of detokenizer in case the table of variables is rewriten in the BAS file?
Rybags
Rewriting garbage into the variable name table is an old trick to stop people viewing/altering BASIC programs. Just use a decent editor to give the variables some usable names.
