Hello,

We are proud to release this project that was started one year ago in a bar near a flea market (we were searching for atari's) between beers and atari material.

Yes, it is the NEW RALLY X for our classic ATARIS, this is the first release, still there is a lot of work to do, but with help of everybody the goal will be reach.

well, enjoy the first screenshots:

Se lucieron.

Realmente excelente conversión, todos los gráficos y música igualitos al arcade. Animo con la IA, será un poco complicado pero estoy seguro que lo harán y de hecho será uno de mis juegos favoritos, siempre lo ha sido y siempre deseaba este port para el Atari, gracias por la noticia y el esfuerzo.

Found a possible bug. I am using Atari800Win PLus (final) under Win2K.

After driving around for a while and repeatedly using the smoke screen button, I am able to go through the walls. Upon returning to the course I am sometimes invincible and sometimes returned to normal.

nrx_invinc.png

Although it has happened in different locations on the map, it seems to happen more easily in the lower left corner.

Collision detection is turned on? When I tried it under Atari800win I wasnt able to touch the flags nor did the chase car come after me - I was able to drop smoke screens and navigate but that was it.

Anyhow - no compliants here since so far this looks like a great start!

Just wanted to let you know, as it surprised me when I went through the walls. It was actually pretty fun driving around invicible.

The game looks great so far. I always thought this game would be a good port for the Atari.

Thanks to everybody for the comments!, we'd like to know more about: "a circle that you can drive around in and get trapped".

Do you mean that in a square (by a bug of the original game) your car can get inside of that square, trespassing the boundaries?

something like the attached image.

:?:

pd: there are some functions keys if you want to play around:

START : Delay Mode, to watch every cycle
SELECT : Color service Mode, to change colors as background, squares, etc.

This looks great. Rally X was one of my favorites when I was a kid. If you do finish this I would hope that you would release a 5200 version as well.
