I've made a sample page for my new webpage. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of style I'm going to go with, here is one idea I was thinking of:

I'm not sure if everyone can see the ATASCII font I have the text in (I don't know if everyone needs it installed or just me). So if the text looks odd or non-existant that's why.
It still needs a little something. Ideas anyone?

The user needs to have the font installed in order to see it. I don't, and all I see is standard Courier. I'd recommend using a style sheet with a font-family so it at least degrades to something more attractive than Courier. Style sheets are a good idea in general, and will save you tons of time down the road.

A really easy way that I know of is to make Flash Text. You need no speical plugins except Flash, it takes the same amount of time to make as it takes to type it out in notepad, and it is low in size and very high in quality due to the antialies options you can use

Nah! I've got a better idea. I'm going to go the pop-out menu route if it kills me. But I've also got an idea for the individual page designs. I'm going to use blue, silver, and black for my colors...
BTW, I like the Maruader avatar. I've always thought it was a cool picture. Tempest [ 10-13-2001: Message edited by: Tempest ] |
