Following on from a similar thread on the 5200 section got me thinking

When I was using me atari 8bit setup years ago and all the boot menu disks i had, i seem to remember that a certain person known as 'Glenn the 5200 man' was prolific for converting 5200 games to the A8

I was just wondering if there's a list of all the games the he apparently converted, the only ones i remember were kangaroo, 5200 centipede and 5200 pacman

In addition was there ever a concerted effort to officially convert more 5200 games to the A8

how about a definative list

Homesoft has done a lot of 5200 conversion work recently.

Here's what's at Atarimania:

I know someone who ran an 8-bit BBS back in the day and actually knew who Glenn was. I'll have to ask him about it.

I bet that Glenn (who ever he was) either worked for or at Atari or got the conversion information from someone at Atari, as if mem. serves me right, Atari weren't exactly free and easy with that sort of information (after all that's why Atari sued activision for producing 2600 compatible games)

Although i do remember an american magazine doing an article about converting 5200 software to the A8, apparently it went over several editions

Dunno, I just meant that scene was a long time ago.

Hmmm... I think I gotta see if someone can convert my 'Hangly-Man' and 'Pac-Man Plus' hacks to the 8-bit platform, now that there is a *slight* possibility of the FB3 making it in the future (see the 'Dedicated Hardware / Flashback' forum).
