Can we vote for our own games too? Isn't there an disadvantage for those who released more than one game then? How about Belial's games? ;)

Uhm... you mean in case Bob thinks both of his games should be HotY?

Are you sure you want to count FlapPing as a 2005 homebrew release? It's a retitling of a great game that came out earlier than that.

Same is true for "Ultra SCSIcide" and "Warring Worms: The Worm (Re)Turns". I thought to leave this descission wether they should count or not to the voters :)

To use an analogy, should the director's cut of Blade Runner have been eligible for the 1992 Oscars?

I suppose we should leave that up to the voters.

I voted for Strat-O-Gems Deluxe. It is one of the best games that I have played on the 2600.

The only other homebrew that I should have is the 2005 Holiday Reindeer Rescue Cart. I won't have that until Adventure 2 is finished for the 5200 so I am unable to determine if that game is better than Strat-O-Gems Deluxe.

I thought Ultra SCSIside and WWII (:ponder:) were pretty extensive rewrites of the original games, while FlapPing "only" had a new name and a new title screen to go with.

And, actually, I've got 3 games on the list there, if you count the multicart. ;)

And I have to give Strat-O-Gems Delight bonus points for technical awesomeness, but I don't know that it is the most fun on the list.

Had to go with Swoops. Splatform is still one of my all time faves. Cave 1K is also great.
Simple, addicting, and a little annoying (in a good way) at the same time. :D

For me it is a tough call between Hunchy 2 and Fall Down.

I'm going to think it over some more.

I thought that Strat O Gems and Reindeer Rescue were the best games for homebrews of that year. I have both of them. they both are great, and immediately caught my attention.

Finally someone thinks that the 2005 Minigame Multicart's eightseven games for the price of one was worth a vote!

Shouldn't this be moved into the Atari 2600 forum to get more response? Or do we want to limit the voting to those who are interested in programming?

(And because I didn't finish research for the 'regular' monthly homebrew poll in time :ponder:)

I vote for BOBBY IS HUNGRY. Only homebrew lightgun game needs some real respect. I bought it, it's a hell of a game.
