I am havoing some prob's in making and using .cas images with the above emu (PC)
I refer to the instructions
Your'e supposed to have the 'sio patch' enabled
You access the tape imaging sys by using the 'tape recorder' tab, under the 'atari menu'
to make a new image, select the new image tab, then click ok, then type in something meaningfull for the filename, then it will attach itself
before you want to 'write' to the cas image you open up the 'tape recoder' dialog and try and get the slider over to the 'end of tape' mark
then you can 'write' to the .cas image
However there seems to be a serious bug in this emulator because i do all the above, instruct mydos to copy a binary file to .cas image, with the following legend....c, filename.com, c: (the first c is the copy option)
the speaker beeps twice (which is what it's supposed to do) waiting for return to be pressed (which i do) and begins to start saving, but it doesn't, as it just continously loops to the same noise, as if you've trying to save without a caseette in the system (but there is)
Is there an issue between the .cas file and this emu and mydos and writing or is there a bug in this emulator regarding cassette images
Also i have created some large ATR files using makeatr and atr util (mydos format), i copy 60 or so files to the disk and then tell it to make a new dir like games2 (all uppercase) copy over more files and create another directory, and so on and so on
After i have finished with that atr, i select save to save everything, open up the above emu. and load up mydos, this is where my prob's begin as when mydos loads up, i switch disk to the recently created ATR, it displays the first directory no problem, i select r: to pick an alternate directory like r: games2, it accesses the disk no problem but it still displays the directory listiong of the first directory you had and not the directory you have just selected
Also i noticed that mydos created atr's made with atr util or make atr can't be used in any version of spartados or bwdos as when you try and get a directory listing you get error xxx and the same applies if you try and switch directories
Just one thing i've noticed though, never use the 'attach tape' tab to use .cas files, if you do the emulator crashes and you get the familiar windows xp program crash screen
