Nah, just owned it since mid-80s. And, actually, the difficulty seems to plateau around level 25 or so. Or at least it increases very very slowly.

Oh, and, I played some more last night:

Got to 10 million, then played a little further to level 50 - took about an hour - and then killed myself in creative ways.

Fun game, but at the higher levels there is so much stuff to collect that you get enough points for an extra guy about every 2nd or 3rd level.

Here's my standard technique:
Step 1:
I almost always start on the right; go down and then over at about the top of the bottom strata (is that the word?)

Then try to collect everything on the right and get to the left side without letting the water get too high, so that you can escape once you've collected everything

Then get everything on the left and escape!


Keep moving to stay ahead of the water, keep an eye on the moon, learn to use your dynamite to kill/block the demons, and that's it.
