Has anyone tried this? Are the games just as good as on an Atari 5200? I'm especially interested in Countermeasure. Any input is appreciated,thanks.

They are exactly like the 5200 except the controller is different - Not sure how all the controls in Countermeasure were mapped to the 8bit version. For Space Dungeon the firing was mapped to the J1 direction so you couldnt do the run away and fire behind you but the game was still fun

I'm not sure if this is relevant but not all 5200 games are the same as their A8 counterparts.
