I have atari 800xl and used the atarimax flashcart and sio2pc
I found it quite complicated and not really successful
a lot of the games didnt "work"
I am now planning to have a XE game system, is there any way I can send roms from my pc to the XEGS?
thanks

sio2pc and flashcart are really your only options.

Just as an aside, are we talking 'ROMS' here in more recently terminology meaning 'any' title for the Atari (typically single/mulitple part or self-extracting binaries), or more in the sense of a 'ROM' being a dump of a ROM from within a cartridge, e.g. Pacman, Defender etc?

Most likely the first, but thought I'd check, in terms of the AtariMax flash-carts its doesn't matter too much except the Cartridge binaries are limited to the non-bank-switching kinds, though some of those have been re-worked to work on a FlashCart, e.g. MAC/65.

There is also the S/XEGS RAM cart project which might be what you need?
(see the thread http://www.atariage....howtopic=76169)

The sio2pc seems to only work with ATR files. My problem was finding websites that had ATR files, so I asked the question in this forum "Where do you find ATR's?" Some nice people posted some really good websites. If you scroll down the page a little way you can find the topic.

Sorry no, I'm a happy AtariMax cart developer :)
You can put different types of games onto these
using a toolkit downloadable from the site:
http://www.atarimax..../documentation/

But I did see the other cart at AtariAda in 2005 and it
looked a good concept. Perhaps some of the Czech
guys the come here can elaborate here (Raster/Fandal).
