i'll let you know when I get mine. If you go to Atarimax's forum, they have listings of games that are ready to be flashed in to the cart.

Well, there's 2 versions (128K and 1 Meg).

Most cartridge games are 8K or 16K, so a theoretical max of 128 games for a 1 meg cart.

I don't know much about the carts other than basic specs but if has software to use it as a virtual disk, then it could probably hold a couple of hundred compressed .XEX game files.

It depends on the size of the exe files.

Basically for the 8mbit cart you have 1,040,384 bytes free after the menu software uses up 8k.

EXE files are also stripped before being inserted into the cart, so each one will take up a few bytes less than its size on disk.

The custom, user made, 8Mb cart images loaded on Steve's forum
seem to average around 50 titles of the more commonly known games
giving a good mixture of 8K to 48K games I guess. So that's a fair guide.

The most games I was able to fit onto an 8 MBit Maxflash cart was 67, and I did that with two different collections. It was a lot of work, not only getting them to fit with the least amount of wasted space, but testing each and every game, on both my 800 and XEGS. There were a few times were I'd have exactly one game that didn't work, and I'd have to start over again. :x

But, y'know, having that many games taking up so little space was really a major bonus. I could finally retire the floppy disks. :D
