Very neat. I though the funniest bit on that page was the last story about creating a mocked up ST for the magazine's cover. :D

I forgot that Livewire was an Analog type-in game. Seems like I should've remembered that, since I actually did type it in, back in the day. Nothing like spending hours and hours keying in what seemed to my non-Machine Language processing brain to be random numbers and letters. Then, ya RUN it and...

ERROR 17 or 21 or whatever... GRRR! :x Nothing beated re-reading through every single line and comparing it to the mag to find that one typing error.

But in the end, it was worth it. A great game, Livewire.

I always really enjoyed Tom Hudson's games. Another fav of mine from him was Buried Bucks.

Always wondered what happened to Tom Hudson, great story. I remember talking to
him way back when and he told me how to get an Atari to create a perfect 2600 mhz
tone so that I could write a Blue Box program like my friend had for his Apple II/Mockingbird. I actually typed in Livewire back in the day!!! Im suprised he didnt
work on it more and release it commercially?!?! Seems like they could of made alot
of money on that one.

Interesting read...

I was more of an Antic guy and later Compute! Analog, as I remember, was more expensive than either of those two mags. I did get one of the Analog Anthologies or whatever that had a Battlezone-type game called "Deathzone." It was very cool, but I ended up typing it in THREE times! For some reason, it would just stop working. :ponder:
