I am trying desparately to hunt down the reference manual for OSS Basic XL. If anyone knows of one for sale, etc, I'd really appreciate a pointer. I'd even take a photocopy of the book.

Thanks much,
Ron

Thanks for the reply. The first link in that topic, the one that indicates a free download, doesn't seem to work. Would that mean that it's only available for purchase now?

Thanks,
Ron

Try PMing 8bitclassics and see if he'll fix the link.

Thanks. But that link:

comes across as corrupted (Acrobat 7 won't read it anyway).

Yes! Thanks very much, that copy works and is perfect.

Thanks much to everyone! I am introducing my 12 year old daughter to programming on an Atari 65XE (I started many years ago on an 800XL) -- she is currently working through Logo (for which I have the original manuals), but I couldn't find my Basic XL manual, only the original cartridge.

Cheers,
Ron

PMed with the file. Updated the link and readded it to the BASIC XL cart listing. Sorry about that, still playing catch up with the descriptions.

Here is the link if anybody else wants it:

OT:

Just wondering if the Action manual was ever completed?

I know it is a big requested item, but haven't had much time since last year. I have it written in my schedule to get done, just have to make sure everything else is going smooth. Right now, I would say maybe August/September time frame.

No, prob. Hope I'm not being pushy.

I actually have a couple of manuals but they are pretty ragged.

I have had a few people interested. If I had some gauranteed copies sold instead of just downloads, would probably push a little harder. It just takes so long to do and I like to try and make it identical (as can be seen in the XL manual). Few changes, but mostly formatting and spelling fixes.
