A.J. Franzman Posted June 10, 2006 Share Posted June 10, 2006 (edited) Shielding is the same (cast aluminum). The weight difference is in the plastic castings of the bottom part of the case. The "heavy" case bottom is about 3-4 times the thickness of the "light" version, and has several distinct features that allow them to be distinguished fairly easily in most photos.
