Does anyone have a working MIO with a 225N attached? I've got some termination questions about it.

Man, it's been so long, but I'm pretty sure I was using an ST-225N (it was an MFM drive, if I recall). I don't remember exactly how the cabling and termination was setup, just that I had it hooked up to an Adaptec controller board, which was then plugged into the MIO. And I was using two drives. Wish I still had all that stuff. :(

Wow, that takes me back. I remember those days.

I don't remember liking anything with the adaptec name on it, however. IIRC their products were pretty inferior comparatively.

The 225N is the SCSI drive so it can be connected directly to the MIO without need for a controller.

Ahh, okay, then I'm pretty sure I had an Adaptec MFM controller board (probably a 4000A judging by an old Usenet post I made back in 1989), so it must have been an ST-225, not the ST-225N.

On the Seagate website you'll find jumper tables, specs, data-sheets, manuals for (almost) every hard disk they ever produced. (Assuming you want the termination jumpers).

Well, the issue is that I dont have terminators for this drive, and it doesnt have terminator "jumpers" It has terminator resistor packs. I doubt I'll find those on the shelf anywhere. I may just use an external terminator.
