Has anyone else here that cruses Ebays Vintage Computer Products for Atari noticed that some of those people don't know what they are talking about?

I mean c'mon, one auction for joysticks was titled "Very RARE! vintage black Atari Joysticks for 2600".
Since when was the black joystick rare? I think there are fewer XE (white) joysticks.

And, I know that the 600XL is less common, but it ISN'T Rare people!

Has anyone seen the idiot that ask $149 BIN + $25 shipped for a clean but not new 1200XL?
Especially when listed 5 up from it is a similar 1200XL for $9.99 + $12 shipped.....

Or how about the guy that wanted $199 + $30 shipping for 1 800XL and 1 1050 Drive? I had to ask the guy what was so 'special'
to demand such a outrageous price -- did the puter have a meg upgrade, the 1050 with Happy Chip? He never replied....
Guess he didn't like me pointing out that a similar auction with 2 drives was in progress that included several games and other accessories for $19.99 starting....

Oh, can't forget this one -> "Rare and Hard To Find! Atari gaming computer" with rare Lightgun, Flight Simulator II, Bug Hunt, and Atari BASIC cartridge, Missile Command, joystick....
This one was so annoying that I was tempted to put one of my XEGSs up for auction with two lightguns, two joystick, FS II, Barnyard Blaster, and Moon Patrol starting at 1 penny just to spite them....
For one thing, the BASIC cartidge doesn't belong in an XL,XE or XEGS auction, and another - the cart has version A, the XEGS has version C onboard....Can't have enough carts, but then again Missile Command with the XEGS is a bit redundant....

Yeah, I know this sounds like a grip, but has it annoyed anyone else?

It doesn't really "annoy" me per se, I just laugh and move along. What does annoy me is when some poor fool actually bids on it. That's just SAD! :)

You have to remember these are regular Joes listing these products, not Atari enthusiasts. Compared to PS2 and Dell, Atari stuff is considerably rare. To us, it's quite common. You just have to be aware of the product and of the source. To me, it's no big deal, unless they are the type that thinks their "rare Atari they found in the basement is worth like a bajillion dollars!" That's when it gets a little obnoxious to me.
