Do these things exist for E.T. for the Atari 2600?:

E.T. Prototype
E.T. Lab Loaner
E.T. Tester Cart
E.T. II Prototype

The first three are the same thing, and yes they do exist. There is no such thing as ET II.

So far no. The game was programmed in six weeks so it would be hard to find a WIP. I doubt many versions were burned to cartridge.

Wouldn't surprise me that Atari was developing a game for a film that hadn't even been made. Talk about a head start :D That reminds me though. I remember reading somewhere about a proposed Battlezone 2. Anyone know anything about it? ;)

Thanks. One last question, how much are they? A ET proto would go great with my boxed version. :)

I'm not sure. I've only seen one or two, but I don't think they went for more than a regular prototype. Probably $70-$100 maybe.

I'd still like to get a loaner E.T. cart if possible. Not sure where to look though.

i still haven't tested this one to see if it's a wip. most likely it's not being only 3 days older than the one shown on tempest site which is a final version.
