This is the first game I've encountered (of the limited I've encountered at least) that proves to be somewhat resistant to cheating.

Game Genie codes work fine...even allowing you to race cars you normally couldn't on any race track on any Grand Prix.

You can place first in any race via a code, and you can shut off the time limit and everything.

So how is it resistant?

Well it would seem that you CANNOT get a gold trophy when you try to use the 1st place code. You must earn all the gold trophies there are.

I have heard rumors that a secret track can be unlocked if you attain enough gold trophies...

Gold trophies prove VERY difficult to get. Supposedly the FIRST time you race any given track, you MUST get a 1st place. You can, of course, reload from a previous file...but once you pass a class, there is no way you can go back to get a gold trophy on a class you "failed".

This is awesome, actually. I wish more games were resistant to cheating (sim games especially). It makes any achievement that much more important.

Otherwise it works on "the honor system", how can anyone but yourself know that you didn't cheat to make that huge city, or great sims house? Unless they watch you play the game.
