Okay, that's actually pretty cool. Now, HOW DO I GET THE @!#% CART?!!?

(Seriously, every year I buy myself an expensive Christmas present...that's going to be this year's. I know, it's not exactly expensive, but 1) money is really tight right now, and 2) whatever the price is, it's definitely worth a huge bundle more.)
Patience. :)

@Baksama - It's funny, I was actually thinking of trying to add some of the NES mazes at one point, but I decided against it. :) Thanks! :)

Well, that's too bad but at least I can play the NES version anyway. It would've been cool to play the mini and bizzard mazes on the 7800. Keep up the good work.

I see many people pointing out faults with the game and wanting more and more, but why?!
It's cool to have so many people helping with testing and fixing flaws and doing box designs. Heck PacManPlus is doing it all for the love of the game! I have rarely seen people do this kind of work and put it out in public as it is evolving. It's effing amazing if you ask me and I just wanted to take a moment to thank him deeply for everything.

I agree 100%. I couldn't pull myself from a game of Puck-Man last night (in the quick amount of time I had) in order to play Food Fight (one of my favorite games of all time) in the HSC!

Hell, if PacManPlus declared it "final" three or four bins ago, complete with bugs, I'd still be begging to buy a cart of it. :)

Hi Bob
played the whole afternoon.I changed the option random mazes and suddenly, when eating a bonus item, the ghosts disappeared for a moment and then i could eat them for a moment. Is this a bug?Or only on my system?Because i used my pal system. But the other previous versions worked well.
greetings Walter

Ps:It was this version

Marc,
They look absolutely beautiful!

The gray/silver border is a nice contrast to the blue imo at least and I love the blue colors in general so it has to be one of my fav label/box combos of all time! Great art again Atariboy!

Hi guys:

Sorry I haven't been on, but we have two client conversions running this weekend and I've been working on them.

@Chickybaby, 128byts, Dauber, Gregory DG, Breakpack, gambler172, birdie3, baksama et al - thanks for the nice compliments. :)

@Chickybaby - I agree with you - on the box, it is a nice contrast to still have the silver/grey around the picture.

@gambler172 - It sounds like you were playing the 'Plus' mode of one of the games. It actually is supposed to happen like that in the 'Plus' version.

@Marc - THOSE BOXES LOOK AWESOME! - you have PM :D

And again I have to thank AtariBoy2600 for his awesome work on the graphics and layout, and Brian R. for the text.

It's something they do in business called "underpromising and overdelivering." :)

Yep, your artwork looks really great on a box (although the 7800 number should be 3 - 4 mm more down, it's very close to the top flap).

Best,
Marc.

Done and done. Heres the UPDATED one this time the 7800 number are lower so it could not be to high up on the box label. Also PacManPlus ask me to add the AtariAge logo and URL on both the box and manual^_^

Hi Guys:

There is going to be a manual, but unfortunately no box. It just comes out to be too cost prohibitive and time consuming. :(

Thanks again for the compliments! :)

One last thing!!!

Nabuko78 released which appears to be the best 5200/7800 color palatte yet. It changes hues beautifully across games in a way which best represents what the actual console displays for those same games. For instance, Ms. Pac-Man (original release), both maze and ghost monster colors are the closest to the actual console than any other palette previously.

However, respecting Pac-Man Collection, the leftmost ghost monster's color does not change. It remains that greenish color instead of the more blue hue it should display. Here is some screenshots of Ms. Pac-Man inside Prosystem Emulator which hopefully makes clear what I am stating.

First, here are screenshots of both Ms. Pac-Man original release and then in Pac-Man Collection with the default color palette found in Atari 7800 emulators (Including the ProSystem and MESS emulators):
Attached Image: Ms._Pac_Man___Default.PNG Attached Image: P_Collection___Default.PNG

Second, here are screenshots of both Ms. Pac-Man original release and then in Pac-Man Collection with Nabuko78's color palette:
Attached Image: Ms._Pac_Man___Best.PNG Attached Image: P_Collection___Best.PNG

Take note of which screenshot best represents how Ms. Pac-Man look on an actual 7800 playing Ms. Pac-Man. IMHO, Ms. Pac-Man original release with Nabuko78's palette indeed is the best. On the other hand, the maze color difference is definitely what is intended, and I actually prefer PacManPlus' color/hue choice. However, the leftmost ghost monster color should be more blue than green, no?

If the leftmost ghost mosnter's color is purposely set that way, then I completely respect that decision. I'm just trying to help. Hope this post makes sense and is of some assistance.

-Trebor

P.S. See here for Nabuko's incredible palette:
