You taught the Russians (Rush'ns?) a thing or two, now head to outer space, circa 1981. It's time for Galaga!

Post a score and let's get this thing rolling!

Please post any tips you may have - best tip gets 1 bonus point!

And if anyone has a link to the manual, please post it. LarcenTyler hooks us up: http://www.atariage....s...t&p=1184140

Tips

Quote

be captured by enemy beam regain ship if you can then gain double fire power

I'll add to that:
You can shoot your own ship while it is captured, so shoot carefully!
Also - if you get sucked in by the tractor beam when you don't want to be, you can still shoot while spinning; sometimes (not that rarely, actually) you can shoot the ship that is sucking you in and be freed.

Not a bad port, just gotta work at it more.

http://www.tendoweb..../NES/Galaga.pdf - Ask and you shall receive, vdub_bobby. :D

By the way, did you notice how they added the subtitle 'Demons of Death' on the packaging? (How did that get past Nintendo's censors?) They also did a similar thing with Xevious as 'Xevious The Avenger.'

(The latter actually gave me the idea to write a short story based on that title.)
