The following site provides gizmos to convert NES and SNES controllers into gamecube plugs:

The result is that you can play your VC games with original controllers! :)

That would be cool if the retro controller weasn't so close to the snes pad. The wiimote makes for a nice nes pad as well...so I don't know if I'd be interested. Now, if we were stuck having to use the GCN pad for nes and snes games, that might be a little different.

For the most part I agree. (The ability to act like an original NES controller is actually one of my favorite features of the Wii.) This is just cool if you want that "authentic" gameplay experience. :)

Ah, but this does give me an idea (a NES extension cable) that I can use for my NES > SNES adapter for the FC Twin! :D

heh, what a cool idea, love the NES/SNES to Wii adapters! I'd be interested in a TurboGrafx to Wii adapter myself, looking to download a bunch of those VC games at some point.

Now someone needs to hack an NES controller with the motion sensitivity of the Wii. That'd be a little slice of heaven, wouldn't it?

For this to be successful, you'd have to be able to plug all 5 different controllers in for that price.

Well, it's certainly wireless... but is it motion-sensitive?

Still, this is a very good start. Now if he made a wireless Sega Genesis or Sega Saturn controller, we'd really be in business!

I prefer to play with the wired Snes controllers, it's how they were originally done and at least I don't ruin controllers that are no longer manufactured.
