Thanks for the reply.

This off topic, but kind of related. I have read that 2600 paddle controllers won't work with some 7800s. Could this be additional data that is added to you serial # list? Perhaps it could be determined which range of serial # either won't or unlikely to work with paddles. Mine does work with paddles ( played Kaboom! yesterday on it)
Hmmm...I have never heard of this. If anyone has a 7800 that won't work with paddles post it. However, I wonder if this is just something gone awry internally.

Toymailman if you could share some info on what my serial # means it would be appreciated.

There is a whole for the expansion slot, but nothing solder to the mother board... just the hole in the case. Here is a pic of the serial # sticker.
From what I understand from the serial numbers is that the blue 78 indicates when it was made. The first number is the year (1987), and the second number is the month (8 = August). Yours was getting close to the end of the run with expansion ports and is why the case still has the hole. However, it is one of the first boards where it has actually been removed. You can see this based on how you show up in the serial number list.

Thanks Jacob, and also double thanks for organizing this all. :-D

This was very tough. I had to get a new personal best in all four of the finals games for this, but it was tons of fun in the process.

Okay, I needed one more score to get a personal best in all four games. Here is my updated score for Enduro.

2557.9 - day 14
