As far as it's concearned the name of New GUI
I think it must be smth. like Last Word (Do your remember it FJC?).
Surely - Last Desk.

Or - considering state of bank balance - perhaps Last Penny or Last Breath. :D

Anyway - thanks for the suggestion! Word processor is a alive and well, BTW... I need to formally release VBXE version which has been in beta for months and which has barely attracted any comments at all. I assume that means it works. :)

I seem to remember FujiX as the name...

Are we talking about an Atarimax type of cartridge(flashcart) or something that would be sold through example Video 61?

SIDE, SIC!, AtariMax... anything which has enough space. You'll download ATR, flash cart, and begin... However, I want to make a commercial version with custom cart case, printed manual, etc. The custom cartridge will at the very least have a pass-thru on the back.

Will you be using Antic banking Mode, since Diamond used it and it was undesirable if not impossible to run in an XL system.

I did NOT know that Diamond used Antic banking mode. :o You learn something every day. The new GUI does NOT use Antic banking mode, since it's simply impossible to rely on its presence. You do need at least 128KB, however.

Great news, I am down for at least TWO of the commercial versions...

The GUI's going to be cartridge based.

Thank you for all your efforts

Is the article posted somewhere? Just curious about what you had to say about them.

Do someone know, if the bit writer software is also copy protected?

I think it isn't. The reason that the Super Archiver disk is copy protected is because the software was also sold as a separate product without the hardware (say, you could use it if you have a Happy drive). The Bit Writer software (probably) works only with the Bit Writer hardware, so it wouldn't have much sense to copy protect it.

Anyway, if somebody has the original Bit Writer disk and could post an ATR image?

I wish the super archiver 2 was available, that one allows copying of enhanced density disks...

SA II is just updated software. IIRC, version 3 of the SA software is the SA II, so possibly it is included in the disk posted above (didn't try it). Anyway, I think the SA/SA2 disk was cracked long ago. Search this forum.

the disk above has "Enhanced Density Super Archiver 3.03"

I think that is it,

Now, if someone made a run of the bit writer hardware, life would be good, don't know how much demand there would be for it...
