Did you know...?

"Zellers, the Canadian distributor of unlicensed 2600 games in the 1980's, is still around today."

This little tidbit is about to lose relevance, though... Target is replacing Zellers in Canada: http://articles.nyda...ores-mega-store

Just noticed that one when I logged in today. :)

Skunkboards on Ebay (incl. protos), and large Sinistar Vinyl sticker :)

Tue Apr 10, 2012 6:40 PM

Orcatrainer has put up some more of my stuff, this time we've got a series of Skunkboards coming (6 total, all slightly different
and most unique in some way). They're all tested and verified. He has the first two up here:

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 150795655874
--Skunkboard Revision 3 prototype. This is the rev 2 board that I hacked up to prove the Rev 3 was going to work, complete with the retro shell (but I put a nice label overtop of the torn up one that was there. ;) ). If nobody buys it like this we'll repackage it in a nice shell, but I figured leaving it open proves it's the prototype, cause you can see the wiring. ;)

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 150795648686
--Brand new in-box Revision 2 board with cable (and I threw in one of my labels too). I took it out to test and make sure it was still working.

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 150795632262
--This is the vinyl Sinistar sticker/decal, almost 13 inches on a side. I bought two when I did up my Neato robot in case I ruined one trying to figure it out, but the first one did the trick, so I don't need the other one.

He's only going to post two boards at a time, but these two are probably the most interesting ones. There are a couple of bare boards (including a Rev 1) and there are a couple of boards fully packaged in shells. I'll update as more go up.

In addition to that, I've got a handful of spare vinyl Skunkboard labels, sized to fit on a Jaguar shell, that I did up. First come first serve, just IM me. $5 each or 3 for $10 via Paypal. I've got about 20 available.

Broken Skunkboards on EBay

Sun Apr 1, 2012 9:19 PM

I got an email from a fellow today who bought a Non-Working Skunkboard off EBay, and was hoping for help with it.

He sent me a picture of the auction, where it's not only listed as non-working, but the buyer said that he purchased it as non-working himself! So this dead board has been sold at least twice, and the auction is listed at $80 -- that's what they sold for new (Rev 2).

That's just a little ridiculous in my eyes. Please don't sell broken Skunkboards. I can't stop you but holy crap, really? If I knew I could get retail price for broken boards I'd not have thrown so many out. Hell, for that matter, I wouldn't have bothered with all that coding and testing stuff. Just glue some parts together and put the word Jaguar beside it! Posted Image

Please help spread the word that Skunkboards ARE NOT SOLD OUT. They may be uncommon, but they are definately not hard to get! There is no reason to buy broken crap on EBay for retail price hoping to maybe get it running again. I heard from Dan just yesterday that there is still stock.

(In fairness, the auction VERY CLEARLY states in the headline that the board does not work. So really the problem here is people just assume it's sold out because people who have no idea keep saying it is.)

Cool Herders Figures

Mon Mar 12, 2012 10:05 PM

I don't know if anyone has any interest in this sort of thing. A few years ago I had some pvc figures made for one of the Cool Herders characters, mostly for the developers of the DS game. Of course, it hasn't come out yet, but it's time to get the last box out of my garage.

My friend OrcaTrainer is selling the last of these figures off on EBay for me. There were 15 left in the box (from a run of 100). I gave 20 or so out to people involved in the project, I gave away more than a full box of them at E3 last year, and this is all that are left. If you're interested in one, feel free to watch his auctions. I don't always get notified when they go online, but I'll post here when they do. It looks like he's selling them one at a time, but here's the current one.

Thanks for peeking. :)

TI-99/4 For Sale

Sun Mar 11, 2012 11:35 PM

Hi guys! I've decided to let someone else take on my TI-99/4 (not "A") now, I've gotten what I needed out of it (which was mostly to own a 99/4 and see inside it). This machine is fully working, I spent some time testing it. It's also in beautiful physical condition. I'm letting a friend of mine sell it through his EBay auction service, since that helps him as well as frees me from dealing with shipping and the like.

Current bid is at $100 - auction is at eBay Auction -- Item Number: 150776322732

Thanks!
