FA: 5 boxed lots 2600 games + over 100 Boxed Games in Store

Thu Feb 16, 2012 5:13 PM

I just put up 5 lots of 6 to 7 games per lot of boxed games. All have instruction manuals except Solaris. Since the auctions were finally free for this week, I decided to get these on. All games were tested today by me and worked. I only took pictures of the boxes since only the first picture is free. I'm not getting into detail as to which versions the carts or manuals are and have no plans on taking any additional pictures. For the price I'm offering the minimum bid, that's about all the effort I'm giving. I spent 3 hours today doing 5 whole auctions. Just needed to make some room, so hopefully these 32 boxes will be out the door. Link is here for auctions.

If you are looking for complete in box or boxed games with possible missing instructions, look at my store listings. Besides what's already there, the following games, mostly complete in box will be added over the next few days: California Games, Moon Patrol, Enduro, Pitfall, River Raid, Mario Bros., Gunslinger, Codebreaker Sears, Maze, Space Invaders, Target Fun, Tron Deadly Discs, Racquetball, Ms. Pacman, Maze Craze, Star Raiders, Frogger, ET, Canyon Bomber, Outer Space, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Pacman Sears, Pacman Atari, Berzerk, Night Driver, Yars Revenge, Donkey Kong Coleco, Megamania, Asteroids Sears, Slot Machine, and Superman. These of course will be scanned cart, manual and box plus any extra stuff as I always do. This will bring my total boxed Atari 2600 games to probably over 130.

I just got my 1099 from Paypal

Thu Feb 2, 2012 7:28 PM

What a surprise this was today in the mail. I'm barely surviving in this world with not being able to get a full time teaching job for 3 years and now I get hit with this crap. Paypal has reported the money I have received for 2011. Supposedly this is the 1st year the IRS is making them do this. Anything over $20,000. This is, any returned money for non-shipped items or refunds for overshipment and such are not deducted from this reported income. Also, their fees weren't deducted from this either. So now I'm gonig to have to spend hour upon hour deducting everything. And probably all for a measley $4 to $5k profit. Which will still leave me below poverty level. Sad thing is I did my taxes last night and got this surprise today. And this isn't only for Ebay. So if you take paypal on your personal site, or other auction sites, or any other reason, if you received $20k+ you'll be getting one of these too.

Atari systems in ads as prizes

Fri Sep 30, 2011 5:55 PM

I was wondering has anyone has put together vintage ads featuring Atari games and systems as prizes? I've been putting on some nice vintage ads in my Ebay store, featuring food, or cartoons along with Atari video games and such. I ran across 2 ads that has a sweepstakes where Atari was given away. One is a Bubble Yum ad from 1982 that shows the Atari 2600 in it. I'm attaching that photo. The other is a Superman III movie sweepstakes which I don't have in front of me, but will be putting that on in the future. That also gives away Atari systems, and I think shows a 5200 instead of the 2600 as the prize. I'll get back in a few days with the details.

Atari Protective Sleeves Boxes

Thu Aug 4, 2011 2:02 PM

I've been pondering buying those protective plastic sleeves for the Atari boxes to keep my collection in nicer condition. There is one seller on Ebay who has them for a buck each. I can get a slight deal on them, but was wondering if there is another company who produces these. I'm looking to buy probably 300 of them. Anyone have an idea or is that the only person who sells them? Thanks.

Has anyone seen this insert before?

Wed Jul 20, 2011 11:32 PM

I just bought a small lot of 9 games and am going through them looking for variations. I found some neat stuff, the 2nd release catalog that looks exactly as the first but has the Printed in Taiwan on back, which I didn't know really existed until now. Also, I just got a new warranty card which is the 2nd released one. I have more things I'm going through hoping to find even more new paperwork. But the big thing is something that was tucked in Casino, though I'm almost certain it's for Indy 500 since it states (Time Trial) in the paragraph. I did get Indy 500 as a single game without the controllers, being variation Box 5. The thing is, it's the regular version. This yellow insert has French on the top. It's a glossy piece of thin cardboard and has a product number. I'm going to insert it in the Indy 500 section as an additional item insert like Raiders, ET, and Asteroids have under the manual entries. Here is a scan of it.
