In Topic: Do you think pc's from the late 1990's & early 2000's will ever be classic?

nope, pc's will never be classic . just nothing there. the new one just do what the old ones did but faster. not really unique. Where as an Atari or Amiga are a different animal who's time came and went,
Exactly! The 90s/early 2000s ones are just slower, have missing features, and crash-happy earlier versions of Windows full of security holes. They suck even more than someone (someone who hates Windows today) could say current Wintels suck.
This line of machines is too numerous, and since it was never discontinued, I don't see how it can be a classic. When I see an Atari ST GEM desktop, I get nostalgic for it. When I see a Windows 3.0 (or 95 or 98 etc....) I remember what an unreliable blue screening [of death] piece of shit that thing really was, and wonder how I seemed satisfied at the time.
Of course, there's things to like about the modern PC which is why I still use one.
In Topic: What's your favorite Atari 8-bit Home Computer?

This poll doesn't take into account the fervor of "passionate" A8 owners. What I mean is, "Favorite for what?" Favorite to look at? Old Beige 800. Favorite for nostalgia? 400.
But I assume you just mean "if you had to choose one, today."
In that case, it's a toss-up between 800XL and 130XE, but I'm going to have to give the 130XE a slight edge, because the video output is SO MUCH BRIGHTER than the 800XL, even after you hook up the "missing chroma line" on the 800XL's video port. For gaming (what one of these computers is most likely going to be used for, today) the brighter video more than offsets the 130XE keyboard (which you're not so likely to use much today) being less comfortable than the 800XL. Also, BASIC revision C is on the 130XE.
If someone would make a little board that "fixes" 800XL video to be superior to 130XE (I can't do complicated mods) then it would be grand!
But for stock, out-of-the-box performance, 130XE. Modded? Then 800XL.

In Topic: Gameboy flash carts?

This is just opinion, but.....
The "M3 DS Real Perfect Bundle" (what a name) is for the DS Lite. It's the best "Gameboy-type" flashcart around. Not only DS, but GBA ROMs, obviously. But the emulator runs original Gameboy and Gameboy Color games, and you can increase the screen size to touch the sides of the DS Lite screen, making the game MUCH more visible. I love it! The emulator will also display Super Game Boy enhancements right on the DS screen - the borders, etc. It's great!!
I got mine from Dealextreme, back when they used to sell them. Anybody know where these are still selling, if at all? Getting one of these and a DS Lite is like a Gameboy-lover's dream.

I love this game, too. The Intellivision version is very good. This is an example of an INTV game kicking the crap out of the Atari 2600 version, which is pretty weak.
The Colecovision version is probably be best home version on the classic (pre-crash) systems, and it is fabulous.
Do you like the Burgertime sequels?
Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory
Super Burgertime
The clock is cool, but why did he put the Bugertime graphics crooked? If you "see seller's other items" he's selling this same clock with other games/characters (Galaga, cartoons, etc) and they're all straight. ??????
