Ok now I know what it looks like, Burnout. I like Burnout but if you are taking Ridge Racer and making it a Burnout ripoff then I have a problem. Why do you have to change it? I like Ridge Racer the way it is.

here we are 6 years or so into this gen and i find myself still waiting for certain genres to appear.

where are the space combat games? the only one i can name is sylpheed for the 360. i can't even fathom how good a space combat game would look in 2012 but alas, theres none on the horizon. maybe i'm just silly thinking that manning the guns of a dreadnaught or crewing a starship over xbl would be fun.

where are the mech games? again i couldn't fathom how good a mechassault or mechwarrior would look in this day and age. the only one i know of is armored core and those aren't any fun (imo).

how about an exploration game like star control?

it just boggles my mind considering how many games and platforms are out now that there are still genres that don't have proper representation.

Dude I couldn't agree with you more! Where are the Colony Wars or X-wings/TIE fighters or Blast Radius or Jedi Starfighters? Cripe would it kill somebody to make a new Wing Commander on Xbox 360? I've got Sylpheed and the Star Trek game which I like but I'd like to see more!

Mechwarrior I thought was supposed to be coming back. I've got Chromehounds, Front Mission and Wartech but I would like to see more Mechwarrior or something new.

I've got a lot of space combat games on the PC and a few Mech games that are still good but some more on the Xbox would be really great.

I know this is a long shot but what about El Viento or Alicia Dragoon. El Viento took place in the city, 1928 New York, and involved the Cthulhu mythos along with mobsters and also had a lot of connection to Earnest Evans. Only thing I don't remember changing into any giant monster and the character you played was a female sorceress. In Alicia Dragoon, you had different dragons you could pick to help you fight the bad guys from destroying the world and to avenge your father's death but it took place more in a ruins than a city and again you play a female sorceress. Other than that I'll have to do more research.

I was at my nephews over Halloween weekend and played it. The game that's on the system plays fine but I tried Star Wars in it and it said to shut down the system and restart it with the cartridge in. I did and messed with it for awhile until I got frustrated and just played the game on the system. I really thought that this was a good system but this is the third one he's had and it does the same thing. I found out his mom got another system at Wal-Mart for like $30. He used it for awhile and it eventually wouldn't read cartridges either. His mom took the one Vtech sent as a replacement apart to see if she could do anything with it but to no avail. I know Vtech's quit supporting it and started another system. Like I said it's a shame, they had a good product but if all your systems stop reading carts what good is it?
