Finally I am finding time to Modify the iCade. There are 16 small screws that hold the plastic control module shells together. Inside are all quality microswitches: 12 in all with both NO and NC and use a common ground. The wires for the joystick are soldered to the switches. The wires for the push buttons are slide on connectors and they are held in place with a small tab. I removed each one to switch the wires with ground for easier soldering of wires. Is the Coleco Steering wheel compatible with Atari? Is it optical or contact? I imagine I will need to see how it encodes quadrature .. Or gray scale ..
