I'm going to be updating this thread for the next few weeks with TONS of goodies, oddities, systems, and just ODD etceteras.

If I'm currently devoting time to adding items to this thread you will see the word "now" in green at the top of this post, and me hanging out in the room. That is a good indication you should stick around and hit reload. When I'm away I'll remove the "now" from the top of the page. (I'll add pics every time I post 10 or more new items)

If you see stuff while I'm posting, but you want to wait for the rest to get listed, you can PM me and I'll mark it pending for you with your name next to it.

  5. Packing CIB games in bubble mailer

    Posted 19 Feb 2010

Cut and dry, do you think it's okay to mail classic CIB games in a bubblope?

I've had it with sellers EVERYWHERE doing this. This isn't just an eBay thing, it's everywhere. Forums, eBay, Amazon, Chuck, every place I order items online. HALF the games come in a bubble envelope crushed. In my payments I often add a line asking that they ship it in a box, especially when you pay $6 for Shipping and HANDLING on a single game. A few days ago I had made the joke in the AA chat room that I was considering a name change to "ILL-NEG-YOU-IF-YOU-SHIP-MY-BOXED-GAME-IN-AN-ENVELOPE."

Today after making my payment to an eBayer asking that my $10 boxed game with $6 shipping be sent in a box as part of the payment message memo section (I Said:"FYI, for $5.99 shipping and handling I'll expect that my item is delivered in a box by UPS, Fedex, or Priority Mail. If it comes in a bubble envelope crushed with 8 ounces of first class postage your marks will reflect the poor service and fee. I don't mind paying for handling when I get good service.")

    I got a reply:
"Your game is indeed in a bubble mailer. I cant put it in the box as the box is for a purchase of two games. Shipping cost will be roughly 3-5 dollars. Enevelope itself costs 75
cents at Target, tape, etc. FYI...you should confirm how you want things sent or what you expect loooong before you bid. It is bad business to bid on an auction and then make demands without having asked any questions before hand."

    My reply to this was:
"Don't tell your buyer what is bad business. $6 in an envelope is bad business. Too many of these rare games get trashed in the mail, and recently I have become sick of it. Small flat rate boxes fit a game and are FREE.

    AX"

    To this I got:
"Tell you what...why dont I just mark your game as not sent...and refund your payment...and we can agree to not complete the deal.
You have become sick of it?
I am sick of buyers like you who buy things and then make demands after buying it without even giving me the courtesy of a message asking questions.

The auction went for 7 days...which was ample time for you to ask a question.
I will not be sending you item out today. I have 100% feedback and dont need to put up with stupid questions like yours. My packages are always well packed. But never you mind.
I will refund your payment and list it as a no sale if you choose."

    My Reply:
"Send my game, and protect it so that it is delivered as described. That's all I asked you for. You have nothing more to do or say.

    AX"

    His last message:
    "I have 100% feedback...and not just on 20 items.
On well over 1000 sold. I know you do too. You
obviously take pride in your 100% feedback, as
much as I do. You should trust that someone who
values their eBay reputation as much as you do."

How do people justify this? Am I alone? IS it okay with YOU to mail games in envelopes? Vote in the poll and give your reply below.

    Thanks,
    AX

Sry for the probs Ax. The problems with people sometimes is that there should be an "If I only Had a Brain" transplant list. Only there are never enough donors.
