Nope, didn't confuse me at all. I've created all sorts of images and such from a ton of different computers so nothing that you're saying is surprising me ;)

Since obviously the DDP image is too large to bring across due to space, if you transferred them back as files to the DDP through XModem or whatnot via terminal would you run into issues? I'm assuming the DDP would no longer boot the files at this point since the boot blocks are missing?

Sure, I'd like to get a disk drive, however, I more than likely still will end up with a serial card and nullmodem.

So let's say I did manage to pick up a serial card ( I haven't yet, but just hypothetically) . Is it possible to convert DSK to DPP? Or, is there some sort of image manipulation tool where I can grab the files from a DSK and put them in a blank DPP image? And then lastly, if I were able to download a DPP image, is it possible to convert that over to a real DPP on the Adam or ?

Maybe I've over complicating it... I guess it's possible to just extract the files straight from the image and download the files seperately? Lastly, I'm seeing references to Adamserve to where you can use an old PC to mount drives, etc over serial. Is there a homepage just for that? Most of the links I've come across are dead.

I'm not scared of taking things apart. Putting them back together is another thing.

Since the other methods seem like I'll end up buying hardware one way or another, I'll keep an eye out for a disk drive at a reasonable price. What IS a reasonable price - around $100?

Nice score on the C=128D. BTW nice D-104 just seeing that takes me back to the days when i was into CB/Ham (still am just no hardware)

Thanks!
Yeah that's my other hobby. The D-104 is hooked up to a Heathkit DX-60 that I restored (the HG-10 VFO is next to it, near completed) it makes the DX-60 smoke on AM. I run it om 40 and 80 meters. Just to the right of 128D is the speaker to my Realistic DX-160 receiver, I use it with an old Heathkit DX-35 and VF1 VFO, nice little CW setup.

I need to get a few picks of my updated radio shack\Commodore room here soon. I keep saying I'm going too, but then I go and change things around. Good thing is, My A2000 has a new HD and back working, I have the new 128D and only need to get the cable ran to get it on the BBS's.

But no pics this weekend, last camping trip of the year and I need a nice bonfire and some Vodka! :D

Now I gotta ask - what's your callsign? Curious if I've ever ran into you on 20/40m.

I like the games, but I'm wanting to play actual arcade games on the iCade.

Then for now, jail breaking and using iMame4All is your only option. It works really well.

It's also great to see a bunch of iOS game developers adding iCade support to their games! Playing Velocispider, Mos Speedrun, Silverfish Max and others with the iCade is a fantastic experience.

Now that's an idea. I'll give that a shot - thanks for the info!
