Composite vs S-video

Tue May 1, 2012 3:32 PM

I don't own any analog RGB monitors, but I own a TTL CGA monitor (Tandy CM-11). I gather CGA monitors will display analog RGB data with poor color depth. Is this likely to be a better option for the ST than composite video? Has anyone done this? Just how bad is the color?

Shame there's no s-video available on the connector. Also, where does one procure a 13 pin DIN?

Questron on the Apple IIgs

Mon Dec 26, 2011 11:31 AM

Is the original Questron compatible with the IIgs in IIe mode? I tried the TOSEC images on my CFFA3k and it freezes at "Your adventure is about to begin". I checked them with kegs, and I get the same result, along with every other set of Questron images. Load them in AppleWin and they start right up.

Any tips to get this to run on my hardware?

How do I close this popup?

Thu Oct 20, 2011 1:20 PM

Somehow I got this popup in the center of my screen and I can't get it to go away.

There's no X to close the popup. I didn't click anything to make it appear. It appeared out of nowhere and is just stuck there. I'd really like a way to close this popup, and prevent further popups from appearing. If I want a new window to open, I'll click something. As it is, I have to be careful to make sure my mouse cursor never ever hovers over anything I don't intend to click, or stuff like this happens. That's not very user friendly.

No offense to OldSchoolRetroGamer.

Thread preview

Wed Jun 29, 2011 9:46 AM

This thread preview thing is getting on my nerves. All it takes is a split second hover over a thread title and my browser becomes non-responsive for a second or two while the javascript fetches the first comment in the thread. I'd really like to be able to turn this off. If I want to read the first comment in a thread, I'll click on it.

If you really want the thread preview thing, how about you load the first comment of every thread when the forum index loads? That way latency won't be an issue.
