I had MESS 0.138 installed and was fine with it. I was an idiot and didn't save the software files for a fresh install. I've searched the web in many different ways and cannot find that same version to download. The MESS site only goes back to 0.142...

If anyone has that MESS 0.138 package, I would greatly appreciate any help...

A while back I bought 2x TurboTwist spinners to add to my X-Arcade Tankstick. Sure, the trackball could be used for analog input, but I always wanted some spinners for linear action.

Today I took a break from other things and tackled the X-Arcade mod. I replaced the top left button on each player's side with the spinner, then moved the old button to the bottom right. Next I mounted 3 new buttons on the front for mouse inputs. It took about 4 hours to get everything done, but it's all tested and working.

The spinners are from http://groovygamegear.com and work perfectly. They also fit perfectly in standard arcade button spaces (1 1/8"). I got the ones with a counterweight so they spin smoothly. I'm very happy this turned out well...

There's still a ton of stuff to setup for the "emulation station," but hopefully it will be done sooner than later

For the first time in years, I have to make a postal insurance claim. I have photos of the items working and photos of it packed properly.

I will go to the post office tomorrow with my insurance ticket... but what can I expect?

Because I don't have enough money and space to setup my dream world with rooms for arcade machines, consoles (kiosks included), and classic computers I have gotten into retail signage.

Sometimes I can afford a few actual items. One I would love to buy, but definitely can't afford is this original PlayStation sign. Even if I could spend $300 on it, I would never feel right about that price. (If anyone has one they would part with for a more reasonable sum, please PM me.)

Still, as I've had to let go of a ton of my collection, I have managed to get a few items. 2 of the ones my wife loves best are Chinese neons I got from eBay. I've only got one other backlit sign, an original PlayStation fluorescent box.
