I got my brand new dreamcast
Posted 12 Mar 2010
Thanks to whoever posted in the marketplace that amazon had fresh stock of new Dreamcasts for sale. I just got mine yesterday and it's so cool. I have my Japanese and American Dreamcasts already but I bought them used. I didn't get into the Dreamcast scene until it was a year past dead. Well finally I know what it's like to have a new one in my hands.
I'll have pictures later, but it's odd how used to newer console boxes I am that are sealed. Technically there is no tape so the box could be opened theoretically without anyone really knowing, though I'm keeping it closed to preserve it. . Maybe I'm just used to DS and PSP boxes where there is tape everywhere sealing it up. After thinking about it though, other consoles around the same time like the gamecube I know weren't sealed. I can't remember for the life of me if the same is true on the current gen consoles....hmm.
The box is in great condition and lookin at the back of the box made me chuckle at the "next gen" NFL 2k ad, ect. The included Internet browser cd is now also laughable. 1999 doesn't even seem that far back and the system feels so dated. Kinda sad really lol.
I'll be keeping it sealed until my current one breaks or if the thing spikes in value. I got it for about 88 bucks with free shipping which I thought was a great deal.
Did anyone else pick one up? Pics tonight... -
Well we all saw this coming a mile away....

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 110501811026
I love the description though. He's rightfully ticked off, but at the same time, unlike the other guy's auction, this guy never bothered to contact these guys when they bid to get a feel if their bids were serious or not.
That does lead to a serious question though. What happens to a eBayer who bids on something then refused to bid on this? Do they lose their account of could he technically sue? I mean... that's $800,200 he owes him

Sonic & All-Stars Racing
Posted 3 Mar 2010
I'll be buying the game this week. I really suggest people try out the demo on the PSN (or Live). Even the Wii and DS versions are supposed to be good. One of the few games I truly loved on the Wii was Mario Kart Wii. But there was one complaint, and it's always been my complaint with the series... it's too slow. Often times I feel completely bored with the pace, even at the faster CCs (then again this is coming from someone who's favorite franchise is F-Zero, so take from that what you will).
This game totally alleviates that. I'm not totally sold with the weapons after gameplay... most probably simply because the Mario Kart icons are so deeply etched in my brain, but I did like how they seem to be a bit more balanced. People in front actually get useful items, and aren't limited to pointless items like traffic cones (or bananas in MK).
Furthermore, judging from the demo and what I've seen so far, the environments are more on par with a current generation offering than Mario Kart. In fact, that was the only reason I didn't like Mario Kart on the Wii (specifically Wii version, no the series).. simply because graphically, I knew they could have done quite a bit better with the hardware. That, and the artistic direction is getting kinda repetitive, and it all feels a bit "been there done that".
For a game though that mimics Mario Kart, the environments are something that Mario Kart should really take a look at. Besides some framerate issues in the demo, I was speechless. It was exactly what I thought Mario Kart should have done with their franchise, and some of the topsy turvy streets reminded me a bit of the better track layouts of Kirby Air Ride, but with more things in the background.
I'll give my further opinion once I buy the whole retail game, but I'm curious if anyone else bought, or is going to buy this. Judging from the demo, I'd really suggest a play. Just be sure to find the shortcut or you can kiss 1st place goodbye. -
New Vectrex Owner :D
Posted 1 Mar 2010
I'll be getting my Vectrex in soon. I finally was able to get one, and in great condition
. I also got one of the Sean Kelly multi carts. The thought of playing Lunar Lander (they call it Moon Lander) on a vector system is making me extremely giddy.
Anywho, thought I'd share. I've wanted one of these forever, but I either find systems in horrible condition or lose in auctions on eBay.
Here's a picture. There's some scratches on the top but that's it. The controller is in great shape. I'll be sure to post pics once it comes in:

Vectrex system (games or multicart would be nice)
Posted 27 Feb 2010
I'm looking for a Vectrex system. I am only interested in a system that has a good controller and is good condition. I'd love some games with at least the overlays, or the 32 all in one cart. I'm really tired of being outbid on eBay and just want to pay for a system haha.
Thanks for the help guys. If you have any offers, post here or PM me.

EDIT: Thanks everyone! If anyone has loose overlays though, I'll buy them
