Drats I missed this thread! lol cool topic....
Anyways I agree on Donkey Kong 2600 being creepy at night.
I think that has to do with the sound effects and Pauline in the game looks creepy to me. Sounds very nostalgic but also very eerie for some reason. I always think that game is haunted because it's the only game in my 2600 collection that I can't get to work right at first.Keep having to turn the system on and off until it comes on.
Another game I think is scary to play alone in the dark is Haunted House.
Also Pacman seems really depressing too. -

1) I wish the stock controllers were'nt made with such cheap-o plastic and rubber parts that break apart so easily. To me it's a good controller design ,but it was poorly made with really weak materials.and as far as games....
2) Gauntlet
3) Mappy
4) Rampage
5) a good racing game with a steering wheel controller like Coleco's -

I personally like Space Invaders the best. I even like the 2600 version wayy better than thr 5200 one or any other version I've played. I'd even go as far to say I like it better than the arcade one. I bet when Space Invaders came out for the 2600....that game was top of the line for it's day. Graphics still hold up for some reason and is an addictive game.
I really love how Pitfall 2 looks too. Dragonfire is another game that looks awesome. -

It's funny, I find it very engaging and I love the sound effects 
. Although when it says "YOU'RE GETTING FAT NOW" it makes me feel sad lol

You've got a point.
I also thought having that game in my room would've taken way too much space and prolly would've ended up driving my roommate crazy lol. Then again still....ohh well. It was never meant to be I guess lol. Next time I see something like that I'm definitely going to grab it.
