I just saw it in Southern Califorrnia at a Walmart a week or two ago.
It hadn't been there before that, though.

1. Vectrex.
Waited almost 30 years to own one of these--love it!
I splurged and bought the sd card programmable cart first thing.
Then I splurged again and bought a homebrew light pen here on Atariage.
This console gets played regularly.
Color me jealous of the Vector Pilot owners...
2. Tomy American Pinball toy pinball machine
I already had the simpler, but also cool Atomic Pinball, but the American Pinball is just fantastic!
When I have company this thing is frequently a favorite, with multiple bonus hole/skill shots and some nice sound effects.
I consider it the finest "toy" pinball machine ever made.
I owned a Zizzle Marvel Heroes machine and while it was more of a "real" pin, it had some glaring errors that kind of hurt it.
Anyway...
3. Coleco Tabletop Mini Arcades
I'm gonna sort of lump a few together here.
A couple of years ago, I bought a broken tabletop Galaxian from a guy on ben heck's site fer cheep.
I cleaned the battery contacts and it fired right up--no battery cover though, and even with cardboard/tape/popsicle sticks etc these heavy batteries are hard to keep in their place.
Both joysticks were broken off, but the pieces were there.
I took a couple of small bolt spacers and fashioned new sticks. Fun game!
In 2011, I scored a REALLY busted up tabletop Ms Pacman, which worked but was missing the entire top half/"hood" of the machine--came with battery cover.
I swapped out the joysticks from the Galaxian, stole Ms Pacman's battery cover and voila! The Galaxian looks MUCH better and the batteries don't shake loose all the time!
The Ms Pacman is fun really to play even though it's beat to hell, I ought to add. And it's so beat up that having cardboard and tape on the batteries is no big deal.
Okay, final last part here:
This past year I also purchased a somewhat decently clean tabletop Donkey Kong off craigslist, missing a couple stickers and no battery cover.
Somewhere here on Atariage, a member mentioned that he fashioned an AC adaptor for his tabletop DK, and I ended up sending him a few bucks for his battery cover.
I still have to make a couple of replacement stickers, but my DK is working well. The difficulty on this game is pretty intense.
Whoops, one more part:
Just a few weeks ago I picked up a really clean tabletop Pacman fer cheep from craigslist. Sadly, it has no battery cover.
As has been said many times, the annoying sound on this game could kick 7800 Donkey Kong's butt--and there is no volume control.
The Coleco tabletop arcades are so pricey anymore that I just can't ebay them. I wish I had bought some four or five years ago before their value rose.
Here's hoping I find a semi-broken Zaxxon in 2012!
