Nope! This is crazy no one can tell me what this games is. Maybe it is how I am portraying it or it was a free ware that no one had but us.

Text based adventure with doors and stair cases. The object is to get from the dungeon of a castle to the outside by making your way through100 floors. Sometimes you open a door and there will be a treasure other times you open a door and you will find a monster. Then text says fight or flee? The creature and yourself have hit points. If you defeat the creature you get experience points that increase the amount of hit points that you have. If you loose you start back on level O. You could also find empty rooms Sometimes there will be a door other times there will be stair cases either going up or down. You have to type what direction you want to go up down right left. We had a Comedor first the picture was white on a black screen. Then we got a Tandy and we could use the same disc. But the whole game was in color. It was on a 5.2 in floppy.

Mmkay, how about this one?

http://en.wikipedia....astle_Adventure
There was no icon for the person it was just three archways one to the left one to the right one in the middle. It asked you which way you wanted to go. The object of the game was to go up the staircases until you were out of the castle.

Strange question to ask in an Atari 8bit computer forum?
Sorry! I am new to this whole forum business and even newer to knowing what system is what.

Hmmm. I hate to point out the obvious (OK, yes, I do ;-)) but your statement confuses me because you did know what system it was. You said it was on a Tandy or a Commodore. Both of those aren't Atari's. The only thing they all have in common is they is old as dirt. :-D
Actually, Tandy made several home computers, not all of them were Intel CPUs. For instance, the orginal TRS-80 (Trash 80) had a Zilog Z80 CPU. I'd like to try to get my hands on one of those for my collection. The later Color Computer (CoCo) was a Motorola 6809E. When the PC started to make a dent in the computer industry, they came out with their PC compatible, which if I remember wasn't that bad at the time. I remember a buddy of mine having one and playing EA's Starflight on it which was an awesome game.
Like I said previously, old gamers sometimes know old games. I could probable get games from many 80's based computers and consoles. If you can remember anything more about the game, that would be helpful. The more details, the better.

She doesn't know what it was on, trust me :D She knows this thread was supposed to be in classic gaming general, but didn't realize it was in Atari 8-bit until after it was posted in error, she only saw the 8-bit part. I doubt it was on an Atari, or Commodore since the disc they had played on two machines. It could have been a PC/MAC type of thing. I know even though I've not seen it, that her Tandy was a 286 because we had similar 1000s back then. In case you didn't notice Wolf is my wife ;)

The point I was trying to make with that statement is that the first system wasn't a Commodore :( I have no idea what it was. We had two computers when I was a kid the first one played the game in question in black and white. The second was for sure a Tandy it also played the game with the same floppy but it was in color. It was not Wolfenstein that I would have remembered.
