I think it originally came from a cassette re this article - http://www.retrogamingtimes.com/rtm69/ (scroll down to the article by Keith Bergman), iv'e tried finding it for quite a while and up until now this is the only copy I can find in existence apart from the one in the article by Keith Bergman (InfernalKeith on here) has along with Atlantis. The datafile could be bad or maybe it's been saved to disk after it's been loaded from cassette and the redefined output has been saved instead of the original file, if this is the case I wonder if the redefinition bit can be skipped and just load the file as is or reverse engineer the definition code to produce the original data file.

If you look at the data file it doesn't make much sense. Seems to devolve into giberish (to me anyway.) Are these the only two files associated with the game ?

pleeeeease :-D

I don't think it is the listing but rather the data file it uses. When it crashed on me it was trying to redefine character 400 which obviously isn't kosher.

There is a saying that covers this situation. "If you want something done then do it yourself...." Not flaming or trying to rile you guys up but the truth is that there is a bunch of CPU talent between the two of you (Karsten and Matt) that could be put to use. How about you guys start writing some games. Kind of a lead by example sort of thing.

As far as Owen goes. Last I heard he was living the simple life in Tennesee. Kind of got sideways with some things but is doing good now.

Well, i believe yes... i followed all the manual instruction for the cables connection but i have the same message on the screen: "Please Install your MBX Console" ...

i tested the power supply and have the correct voltage...

so i've thinking for other internal problems...

as you write, maybe could be the connection cable but for test it i must open the MBX console...

the speech synth seems working good and the headset could give me that kind of error message ?

someone have already opened the MBX ?

The MBX has a couple of pitfalls...

1) the voltage regulator is attached to the case. When taking it appart you need to be careful not to break the chip off from the legs. Not a big deal if it happens but be aware.

2) It has 2 4bit buffers (I can't remember the numbers, sorry.) They drive the connection between the joystick connector and the MBX. Uplugging the unit when powered up can blow them out. May be a good place to start. They will be the first 2 chips leading to the joystick connection cord.

I told you to leave it alone.
I said that making money was OK in my book for EVERYBODY.
Ebay useless for establishing value ? OK argue-tron.
