5200 HSC Season 5 Round 8.5 Pole Position 6 laps MGP

In the spirit of the weekend ( and because I've been way too busy), we'll run a little Pole Position 500. In looking through the records, we've never played the 6 lap variations.
Play Malibu Grand Prix on 6 lap setting. Round will end Sunday, June 3rd 2012 @ 10pm EST
One week only round with a new HSC record being formed by the lucky winner.
A8 players welcome if playing on NTSC.

I've had a few events and schedule changes the last 2 weeks and really haven't had the time for much else. Everything is fine now, but here's what happened.

I was working 2nd shift until 2 weeks ago. The shift leader on 3rd shift was arrested for kidnapping related charges and conspiracy and has since been fired. I've been moved to 3rd to take over. Just when I was getting used to the scheduling, everything got bumped forward by one day to account for the holiday weekend. The result was I only had a 1/2 day weekend last week and actually forgot that this was the 2nd week of round 8.
What I'm going to do is run a special holiday week round and start round 9 for next Sunday, but poll will start now.
In the spirit of the weekend, we'll play Pole Position MGP and have our own "Atari 500".

Our game this round is Vanguard. This is one punishing port of this game so play on defaults and DO NOT use continues. After last round, everyone's reflexes should be ready for this one. :ponder:
Autofire is allowed and encouraged.
