Just a status update on getting one of these, this thread keeps on churning and I don't know if there has been a point of when we can order 1 or 2. Did I miss out? I have been waiting for years now I believe. :-)

I have got a Tapper cart that has corrupted text on the title screen and won't run. I have cleaned the cart and the system and I am pretty sure one of the mask ROMs is bad. I toned out all the legs on the ROMS and they all connect to where they should. What do I set my programmer to in order to read the ROMs? Also what EPROM can I use in place of a bad mask ROM? I know you have to run some jumpers and I have a link to a page that give instructions but I lost it.

I have been wanting a MK1 since 2017, I want both actually, but when will I be able to get a MK1? I have been on the mailing list the whole time.

I put u09 into a 6800 dissembler I found and from looking at the output it looks like it handled it right? Honestly the Assembly code I did in college was simpler with just a single processor. The vidiot board has a 6800 and 6809 in it. Seems like a fun project to play with. 891-16-u09.dasm.txt

LOL, I knew you added capabilities to the the F18A. I misunderstood that you were saying the 9918A could do more than one color. Is it really 1 color if you have transparent too? Doesn't that count as 2? LOL.

I'm a programmer by trade, but I haven't done any machine code since college and that was over 20 years ago, but I'd totally over love to give it a go! I thought that they got multiple colors per Sprite on the Colecovision by stacking sprites. I didn't know 9918 could do more than 2 color sprites!

I think that people would love a version with a better video portion to the game. Something more Pac-Man authentic. BTW, @koolmoecraig it's nice to see you still kicking around.

Well, the F18 doesn't output RGB so the Vidiot board has a chromadecoder in it to convert the composite video to RGB and doesn't look as good as it would if it were RGB. Either version of the F18a would be an upgrade for Baby Pac, You could put in a VGA CRT in if you wanted with the MK2 or even a LCD over HDMI (blasphemy).
