How to properly store Consoles/Games for long term.

I am leaving for the military soon(Air Force) and I really don't feel like selling off my entire collection. So I was wondering what the best way to store my entire collection most likely for a few years until the Air force lets me move into my own place. I have a place indoors that they will stay for the duration of storage, so any tips to make sure they stay good?

Tatacon Japanese PS2 Drum Controller

I have a Tatacon Drum controller for Taiko no Tatsujin for sale on eBay right now. Its affordable compared to the other ones on there($90 for a loose one!).

Mine is boxed, and comes with all paperwork including the original import order sheet.

Only been collecting seriously for about 2 years. Its the best I could do with my limited funds(i'm 19 and doing minimum wage)
