  1. The configuration screen shows that the computer is running in PAL. This means you need a monitor that supports a vertical frequency of 50 Hz.
  2. From rev.E upwards RD4 is on pin 37 and RD5 on pin 39.
  3. It's CD4051 chips. They are CMOS, but not buffering the keys because they are only analog switches and behave as several hundred ohms resistor between active input and output. Relative tolerance to the keyboard mylar tracks oxidation is due to high impedance of POKEY inputs. In contrast to this, GTIA has internal strong pull-ups on the consol key inputs. Source current of the each consol key inputs is over 1.5mA (when shorted to ground). But the main reason of the consol keys failures is a PWR LED current. Because the consol keys and the PWR LED have a common ground track. The LED current is about 16mA. If the ground track resistance reach ~150 ohms the LED current will decrease a little (to about 11mA) but it's enough to completely cut off the consol keys. Because then the consol keys doesn't shorts the GTIA inputs to ground (0V) but to ~2V (counting also a serial 470ohm in-line resistors). You can reduce the LED current, you can buffer the lines, but these are all half-measures. Sooner or later you will have to replace the mylar anyway. Fortunately, they are available.
  4. There are many cables on the market. DVI-Component: https://superssset.live/product_details/52766791.html You can also use a splitter cable: https://www.amazon.com/CGTime-Wyse-DVI-I-Splitter-Cable/dp/B07KXSSQFM and then a VGA to RGB-HV cable: https://www.elecbee.com/en-3035-vga-to-rgbhv-rca-connector-cable-hd15-male-to-5-rca-male-connectors-12-feet-long Links are examples. You can find better - cheaper and/or closer.
  5. To be clear - the Sophia has three outputs - standard GTIA output (luma/chroma), analog output (RGB or YPbPr to choose in config) and digital (DVI). All three available at the same time. It means you can have the image on even four screens simultaneously, including TV set via RF (if you didn't remove the modulator).
  6. It isn't a good idea. Commodore 1084s requires a TTL level csync that Sophia 2 doesn't provide. Shorting pins 2 and 4 causes the FPGA port (VSYNC) to be permanent overloaded. The only correct solution is to output the CSYNC signal direct from pin 15 (600/800XL, 65/130XE, XEGS), pin 6 (800), pin 4 (400/5200) or pin 12 (1200XL) of the CD4050.
  7. To be clear, it was not my intention to take a position on US policy.
  8. In fact, it was not my free decision, but forced by circumstances. Long story short - PayPal threatened me that if my sales revenue to US exceeded $600, I would have to deal with the US IRS. This is to result from the American Rescue Plan. I don't understand why, since I'm not an American citizen, but for some reason PayPal felt it necessary to inform me about this. Recently, while dealing with official matters, I had to testify whether I am not a United States taxpayer. Very strange. They didn't ask if I paid taxes in Papua New Guinea, New Zealand or Côte d'Ivoire, only in the US. This doesn't look good. Maybe they secretly want to make Poland the 51st overseas state of the US?
  9. It's an op-amp and a Schmitt trigger. Both are still available. https://shop.tvsat.com.pl/en_GB/p/20pcs-B621D-TCA321A-DIP6-RFT/16494 https://shop.tvsat.com.pl/en_GB/p/10pcs-A302D-Amplifier-Sensor-TCA345-DIP4-RFT/11803
  10. There is no point in showing more than 6 digits. The best crystals have a stability of +/-5ppm. It means when you write 14.187576 then in fact the last 2 digit have nothing to do with reality.
  11. I didn't order production. I bought in the store when were available.
  12. I have several of them so I can send you one. PM sent.
