Dug through my parents' storage and dusted off my old NES and Atari 2600 from the 80s. I remember my dad brought the Atari home in 1982 when I was 4! I got my NES in September of 1988 for my 10th birthday. I remember the month before, for my brother's birthday, we rented an NES for a week from Blockbuster to convince my parents we would like it

. My first NES games were Super Mario Bros and Zelda. I've been hooked on Zelda since and it is one of my favorites.
I still have the SNES as well. I skipped the Gamecube since I got stuck on PC games for about a decade since I first played Doom2 in '93. My brother had one so no big deal. When the Wii came out, I got the bug again. It wasn't until this passed August (2010) that I dug all the old stuff back out.
In the future, I would love to build a MAME cabinet. I got to play at the arcades some when I was young, but my parents didn't like to spend money on that so visits were few and far. I do remember playing at the local skating rink (hello, Skateland on Summer Ave.), bowling alley, Chuck E. Cheese, Showbiz Pizza, etc... I still dream about wanting to play arcade machines and my chance at that will be soon. MAME, I can't wait for you!
I finally got a Vectrex!
