Tos chips, where do they go?

Sat Jan 28, 2012 7:44 PM

P

Problem is my 1040stf mobo does not have any H's or L's marked on it.

Just U2 through U7

Can anyone tell me what chips as marked with the H's and L's go in what socket?

Here is a pic of my board

Another Mega STe

Fri Jan 27, 2012 7:41 PM

I just acquired my second US Mega STe. 4mb with a 210mb Quantum hard drive that takes about a minute before it wants to start working.
I should have another SCSI drive on the way to replace it. Floppy drive works great. Keyboard has a few dead keys. I already ordered a replacement mylar from Best Electronics. $30 isn't too bad and Brad says it is much better than the stock mylar. The front right corner of the case has some damage the previous owner fixed by super gluing the pieces back on like a puzzle. :) Still doesn't look too bad.
I'm happy! Now I have this backup MSTE I can hook up to the TVs to play games. :)

Here it is:

UltraSatan question

Tue Dec 13, 2011 3:41 PM

I ordered an Ultrasatan from Zaxon. I want to use it with my Mega STe and also my 1040STfm.

My MSTE has an internal ACSI hdd. 340mb Maxtor or something like this. The FAQ at the US web site mentions configuring the ID of the US on another ST to avoid ID conflict on a Mega ST4. Is this the same as my Mega STe? Or, is there something else I'll need to do?

If I have it configured as say, ID1, will I be able to move it over to my stock 1040STfm with out having to reconfigure it every time I do?

Anyone know what happened to pcenginefx.com forums?

Sun Nov 20, 2011 10:22 AM

Like the title says. www.pcenginefx.com forums just says this now:

"11/13/11 - Sorry everyone, but the forums are down for the foreseeable future. Don't know when they will be back up :("

Anyone know what happened? I hope it gets fixed. Even though I go hot and cold with my Turbo/PCE stuff it was always nice to know there was that nice helpful community of fans there.
