Seeking Atari 2600 expert volunteers

Thu May 3, 2012 5:49 PM

Hello, I'm reaching out to this community on behalf of StrategyWiki. We're in a phase of actively recruiting experts of video games for particular systems. We're looking for people who have a lot of knowledge to share about Atari 2600 games, and would like to write about it. As you can see at http://strategywiki....gory:Atari_2600 we have a 123 games represented at the time of this post. 123 is a good collection, but compared to how many games are out there for the 2600, it's a bit small. And quite of few of those guides actually focus on the original arcade games upon which they 2600 games are based.

With the advanced age of the system and these games, I'd like to find volunteers who are willing to help preserve information about these games before they are lost for good. I invite all of you to register accounts at StrategyWiki, and dive into sharing what you know about your favorite games. It's just like Wikipedia, only we tend to break information up into sub-pages more often. You can add information about an existing game, start a guide about a game that's not covered yet, or even start an Atari 2600 version specific guide for an arcade game that we already have if you feel the games are distinct enough (otherwise, there's usually a version comparison page where you can add notes about the 2600 version). Just add (Atari 2600) to the title to distinguish it from the original, like we did for Breakout.

Even if you don't feel like contibuting, I would sincerely love any feedback about the site and some of the existing guides that we already have. Please share your thoughts with me on this thread, or feel free to drop me a line on my talk page at: http://strategywiki....ki/User:Procyon and thanks very much for your time.
