Birdie King also seemed difficult to control (I think it was originally a trackball game), though I did manage to get a birdie once.

Thanks for the summary, and glad you liked it. For those who are interested in Birdie King, I thought I should mention something about the controls that may not be clear:

The shot is taken when the joystick is released. The direction can be made to go off the 45° increments of the 8-way joystick by nudging it to one side before releasing. For example, if you were to aim up for 1/2 a second and then up-right for 1/2 a second and then release, the ball would go NNE (22.5°).

When I'm in a game, and I hit the back arrow to leave, it seems to go back to my 'Droid home screen. I have to re-open the app to get to the "quit" menu"

The device back button takes you out of an app. You need to use the on-screen navigation.

ETA for an Android version?

Atari just put the Android 2.2 version live about half hour ago: https://market.andro...e=search_result
No big announcement yet. Sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what people's experience with it will be like across the many different Android devices. It's just impossible to test or anticipate how it will behave on the 100s (1000s) of Android devices, so we're kinda hoping for feedback from people. Anyone who'd like to give feedback, please drop me a line.

How about some 5200 games or another go at 7800 games? 5200 would work nicely with modern analog controllers.

There are very few 5200 or 7800 games that are both first party (i.e. not licences) and not duplicates of games that already appear in the arcade.

One question, in Red Baron, is there a way to re-calibrate the 'vertical center'? When I hold my ipod straight up/down/level it appears to assume a full 'pull back' on the stick and my view points up as high as it can go. I have to tilt quite a ways forward to find the 'zero'/level position.

At present, I believe no.
